Spice up snack time with these exotic African delights! 💛
As you all know by now I adore snacks, I love nothing more than snacks which are not only healthy but also delicious.
Dried fruits and nuts have always been top of my list when choosing snacks for myself and my children. Not only are the extremely satisfying but they can suppress a sweet tooth without the sugary content of biscuits or chocolates. My boys adore nuts, raisins, dried apricots and even figs. But nuts are a firm favourite in my household.
I do like to try new products and I came across a definite winner recently. Snacks which are not only made up of nuts and dried ingredients but that have a spicy exotic twist.
Chika’s A Taste of the Exotic was founded by a beautiful lady named Chika.
Chika’s childhood was spilt between London and a small village in Anambra State, southern Nigeria. She was surrounded by a big family and food, which played an integral part of any large gathering or celebration. It is this time spent with friends and good food, together with African ingredients, spices, and flavours, that are the inspiration for Chika’s A Taste of the Exotic.
The product range is just mouthwatering –
– Chickpea Crisps
– Plantain Crisps
– Gluten free Chickpea Crisps
– Hand toasted peanuts
– Smoked almonds
– Sweet potato thins
– Black pepper cashews
The Chickpea crisps are handcooked, and slightly spiced with the likes of cumin, onion powder and garlic for that extra kick!
The Plantain crisps are lower in fat and salt than potato crisps and tastier too, extremely crunchy and a mix of sweet and savoury with chilli for an extra kick.
The nuts are slightly spicy but utterly delicious.
Overall a great selection of snacks you must try!
