Katy by Jacqueline Wilson πŸ’– a book review πŸ“š

June 13, 2016

After last week’s Jacqueline Wilson review, here is the next latest book by the much loved author.

Inspired by the classic novel, What Katy Did, Jacqueline Wilson creates an irresistible twenty-first-century heroine. Fans of Hetty Feather and Tracy Beaker will fall in love with Katy and her family too.

The very lovely Yasmin Doran has kindly reviewed Katy for you all. Thanks Yasmin ❀️😘

Review

Katy Car’s lively spirits fly through the house of 8 (9 if you include the dog) as her determined and wild ways alwaysends in small disasters.

Ever since her mum passed away Katy has tried her hardest to stay positive and ignore the bleak clouds of thought that rarely bring raindrop tears to her eyes.

With five siblings and a stepmother who is always nagging at her, Katy’s life isn’t easy but she tries to take the world by storm and fly in a sky of happiness.

She is taller than her peers in year 6 but like her imaginary games she might just have her head in the clouds with her positive thinking.

Then her world is turned upside down when she lands firmly on the ground and her head is no longer high in the sky.

The accident gives her a puncture in her balloon of fun, happiness and laughter and when it lands on hard floor Katy is faced with an even bigger problem. High school.

Will her new friends be able to pull her through it?

Find out by reading this amazing book that I recommend to both genders above eight years old.

This book is highly enjoyable and it made my heart race but melt at the same time. After reading it it was as if Katy has been my best friend for years.

You can purchase Katy on Amazon Uk and at all major bookshops.
