Fresh mint tea πŸ’š yummy, healthy & so good for you!

As you all know I just got back from a wonderful weekend in Amsterdam. One of my favourite things to do when in a new city is to do as the locals do. Eat the foods they eat and drink what they drink.

Although I absolutely loved the coffee in Amsterdam, what I loved the most and could not stop ordering was the fresh mint tea!

  
It is available in every coffee shop in Amsterdam, it was even on offer at the airport fast food restaurant. So a definite favourite.

Amazing for digestion and just so refreshing. Here is the super easy recipe for you to try at home. Once you try this you won’t ever have teabags of mint tea again!

Ingredients- (enough for 1 cup)

– 3-4 stalks of fresh mint leaves

– boiling hot water

– 1 teaspoon of honey to taste

– a few slices of lemon

Method –

  • Boil the water.
  • Wash the fresh mint. Leave the mint leave of the stalks.
  • Place the stalks in a large mug.
  • Pour over the boiling water and leave to infuse for 3-5minutes.
  • Add fresh lemon slices and a teaspoon of honey to taste.

The smell is just so fabulous and taste so refreshing! 

Why not grow fresh mint in your garden or on your windowsill so you have a fresh supply on hand for overtime you fancy a cup.
