Fruity Green tea adorned with nutritious pearls! 💖

March 16, 2016

Green Tea has got to be one of the healthiest drinks on this planet! It is loaded with antioxidants and nutrients that have powerful effects on the body. This includes improved brain function, fat loss, a lower risk of cancer and many other incredible benefits.

I have to be completely honest, I do find it difficult to drink Green tea as it is. It is definitely an acquired taste and I normally end up adding lemon & honey to make it more pleasing to the taste buds. My kids are another matter and will only drink green tea if it is made into an ice tea with lots of honey to sweeten it.

So I am always on the look out for drinks in my local supermarkets which are made up of green tea but are also with flavours my kids will enjoy.

The Product –

Jools Drinks is my latest find. Beautifully shaped bottles which comes with it’s out cleverly shaped straw, filled with three different varieties of fruity green tea. That’s not all, what is special about Jools drinks is that at the bottom of each bottle you will find edible pearls filled with even more goodness.

Much like the ‘bubble tea’ concept, you drink the yummy liquid then use the straw to suck up the pearls of juice for a very unique experience.

The green tea is packed with antioxidants to help protect cells from being damaged by free radicals. Revitalising vitamins B1, B12 and B6 will help you maintain a normal energy- yielding metabolism.

The little pearl gems are made from edible kelp grown in the magnificent waters of the Pacific Ocean. Each pearl, created through spherification, is filled with a juice full of fabulous nutrients and vitamins.

The flavours available are just yummy –

  • Cranberry & Acai
  • Apple & Lychee
  • Mango & Acerola Cherry

Verdict –

These are definately on the top of my list for the drink for this summer! Not only are they good for you, but the little pearls are just like eating sweets that are actually very good for you. So perfect for suppressing that sweet tooth.

Lychees have always been one of my favourite fruits, so if you were to ask me for my favourite flavour it would have to be ‘Apple & Lychee’ – not too sweet, definitely not bitter, but just right!
