Healthy Berry Smoothies – pure & simple goodness ðŸ’œ

We are completely addicted to berries in my family. Blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cranberries – if it has ‘berry’ in it’s name we will definitely give it a try. My mother especially is a huge lover of blueberries, I think that might be a reason why she has such amazing skin!

It’s not just because they are so absolutely delicious but also because they are so nutritious and good for you. The antioxidants in berries can help your body fight oxidative stress caused by free radicals that can lead to illness. My boys love blueberries as they are so easy to eat, and so yummy. 

I do love adding berries to my homemade smoothies, but berries are not always so cheap, thats why I tend to add a small handful.

I was so excited to find out about a company which specialises specifically in berries. Originating in Finland, ‘Roberts Berries’ products ‘Berrie smoothies’ which are completely pure and additive free.

Each flavour is deliciously tart and not over sweet. I totally enjoyed drinking them as they are, the cups they come in are very cleverly made so when you peel off the foil lid a drinkable spout is revealed to prevent spilages. 

I also decided to add an extra berry boost to my morning Porrige Pots by mixing in half a cup of Berrie smoothie to the porridge & yogurt mixture, here is the super easy & healthy recipe for you to try! A great way to kick off the day –

Overnight Porridge Pots with Berries! 


Ingredients- (enough to fill 2 jars)

1 cup rolled oats

1 cup fat free natural yoghurt 

2 teaspoons mixed seeds (linseed, pumpkin, chai)

1/2 cup Roberts Berrie smoothie (Any flavour works well – Blueberry was my favourite!)

Method –

Place oats & yogurt in a bowl, mix well until all oats are covered in yoghurt. Pour in the Roberts Berrie smoothie of your choice. Mix well. Spoon carefully into two jars. Sprinkle seeds into each jar. Place on lids and refrigerate overnight. 

In the morning you will have your super berry porridge ready to eat! No cooking necessary. Yummy, healthy & super pretty too! 💜
