Superfoods for your skin! Seaweed & Aloe for glowing eyes πŸ’›

June 25, 2015

I have to be completely honest. If you were to ask me what I’d love to change most about my face, it would be to remove the fine lines around my eyes. Some may call these wrinkles, I prefer to call them mimic lines. Too much smiling is not always a good thing, I am living proof!

So I am always on the look out for the next best eye cream or gel. Anything to help minimise the fine lines around my eyes in anyway. Harsh make up removers are not good on eyes. The delicate area around our eyes must be treated in the gentlest way possible to ensure the lines do not run deeper and in turn make us look older.

As you all know I am also crazy about natural ingredients, products which use and incorporate the goodness of the earth to treat and heal our problems. If a product is made up of natural ingredients, can help minimise fine lines and also save me time, it is a sure winner! This Seaweed & Aloe eye gel does just that, it will remove all traces of eye make up with harming your eyes, instead it will leave you clean, refreshed and ready for bed.

The product – Seaweed & Aloe Refreshing Eye Gel by Amphora Aromatics

Amphora Aromatics are experts at natural beauty products. Amphora Aromatics is one of the UK’s biggest suppliers of Pure Essential Oils and Aromatherapy Sundries. Founded in 1984, their years of experience mean they are the natural choice for all things Aromatherapy.

Today I am trying and testing a Seaweed & Aloe Eye Gel by Amphora Aromatics. A gently effective multi-purpose gel which offers excellent rehydration for the delicate skin around the eyes. Its also wonderfully cooling for the whole body after a spell in the sun. So perfect for Summer!

It is infact a 3 in 1 product – it helps rehydrate and restore delicate skin around the eyes, gently and effectively removes make up and can help cool skin after a spell in the sun.

Ingredients

Such a lovely array of natural ingredients – Aloe Vera, Witch Hazel, Seaweed, Sea Lavender, Thyme, Irish Moss, Cucumber.

Seaweed & Aloe combine to gently and safely remove make up and restore the sensitive skin around the eye area leaving you feeling soothed and refreshed. Natural extracts of Eyebright and Cornflower soothe while Cucumber adds to the hydrating and calming effect of this super absorbent gel.

Seaweed and marine extracts have been known for their benefits in cleansing, toning, moisturising and repairing skin. Seaweed is known for its strength to survive in the depths of the sea, adapt to changing environments and so can also help in renewing the skin.

Aloe is one of my favourite superfoods! Drink it or rub it on your skin and feel refreshed instantly. Aloe Vera is a cactus plant that grows in very dry climates. Known by Egyptians as the ‘plant of immortality’ it can heal wounds, sun burn and sooth skin. So it is the perfect remedy for sore, tired eyes.

How to use –

Simply pump a little into the palm of one hand and then apply to the desired area with your fingertips. If removing make up around the eyes then a cotton wool pad should be used. Suitable for: all skin types especially sensitive skin.

Result

Fresh, clean, make up free glowing eyes. The skin around my eyes not only felt tingely clean, it felt stretched and firm.

This is the perfect product to pack in your case and take away on holiday with you. Not only will it remove your make up gently, it will refresh your delicate eye area without damage. You will be left with bright glowing eyes.
