Heavenly hot chocolate with marshmallows ❤️ A winning combination!

May 25, 2015

In life you will find that there are things that just go well together. Certain colours, certain clothes, certain people and definately certain foods! For example tomatoes and basil, peanut butter and jam, hot chocolate and marshmallows.

My boys love hot chocolate! At the end of a long day there is nothing else more soothing and relaxing than a big mug if steaming hot chocolate. And what better way to add a little something special to this nighttime treat than some gooey soft marshmallows.

The geniuses at Bonny Confectionery have come up with a super treat to go perfectly with a large mug or steaming hot chocolate or a coffee for that matter, whatever takes your fancy. Marshmallow Melts are two huge handmade marshmallows on a wooden stick which you can use to dip, stir and melt into your favourite hot milky drink. Then just sit back and watch as they melt into a creamy, yummy frothy topping! Just heavenly!

The yummy Marshmallow Melts’ available flavours are to die for – Belgian chocolate, Spearmint & Chocolate, Blood Orange & Chocolate, Winter Berry and Raspberry Kiss!

Here is my easy hot chocolate recipe for a steaming cup of creamy chocolatey goodness-

Enough for two-

– First spoon 4 teaspoons of good quality cocoa into each mug.

– Heat two mug fulls of full fat milk (or soy milk) in saucepan over a low heat.

– When milk is warm take a few tablespoons of the milk and add to the cocoa powder. Mix well until the cocoa dissolves to form a thick paste.

– Once milk in saucepan is steaming but not boiling, pour over the chocolate paste in each mug and mix well to get yummy hot chocolate.

Now all you have to do is dip in your marshmallows and enjoy! xxxx

  1. Looks yummy, are you at Cath Kidston fan by any chance?
