Inn the Park – St.James’s Park’s little secret ❤️

April 24, 2015

If you ever happen to be in London on a sunny day, this is one place you must visit.

St. James’s Park

St. James’s Park is my favourite park in London. It is so pretty, romantic and picturesque, for a slip second you forget you are actually in the centre of one of the world’s busiest and most cosmopolitan cities.

Inn the Park is just that, it is a place to relax, recharge and refresh yourself in the middle of a beautiful Royal Park. Set amidst century old trees, neighboured by Buckingham Palace and 10 Downing Street, this pretty restaurant offers diners a full breakfast, lunch and dinner menu, also a seperate cafe section for those wanting a snack or beverages. It’s decked terrace wraps around the restaurant offering covered outdoor seating, a rooftop terrace offers views all over the park.

Inn the Park is run by Peyton and Byrne, who are also producers of beautifully packaged foods such as teas and jams, which are all on sale here. Founded by Oliver Peyton, Peyton and Byrne overseas the restaurants and cafés for the majority of London’s great art galleries including The National Gallery, The Royal Academy, The British Library and the Wallace Collection.

Breakfast in the restaurant is a real treat. But don’t forget to book as it can get very busy on sunny weekends. There are a wide selection of dishes on offer. Choose from a traditional Full English, or those of us wanting something super healthy can try the Organic Helsett farm yogurt with granola, honey and toasted coconut or the very yummy Super food pancakes! Fresh juices are also available filled with kale, beetroot or just freshly squeezed orange.

Lunch and dinner menus also offer a wide array of scrumptious combinations.

Our favourite treat with the boys on a sunny weekend is to enjoy the park, feed the ducks and swans, then head to Inn the Park. Choose a yummy cake and juice from their lovely selection and head upstairs to the rooftop terrace to picnic and watch the world go by.

Enjoy! xxxx
